- Your site runs on two servers at the same time. Both serve your visitors all the time, so if one has a problem, the other is already carrying the load: nothing to switch over, no slowdown.
- Both sit behind a European content-delivery network that serves your pages from close to your visitors, so they load fast.
- The same network filters out floods of traffic meant to knock your site offline (DDoS attacks).
- Secure HTTPS (the padlock in the browser) is set up and renewed automatically.
Backups you can count on
- Your site is backed up every night, and again every time you publish a change.
- Each backup goes to two independent backup providers, separately, so a problem at one never affects the other.
- Backups are kept for 90 days.
- Every backup is locked: nobody can change or delete it before it expires. Not ransomware, not a stolen password, not even us.
- Backups are tested: every week a backup is picked at random and actually restored, to prove it works. Many providers take backups; few ever check them.
Security
- Security updates are installed every day, and the servers are regularly refreshed, so they always run clean and up to date.
- The servers only accept visitors through our delivery network; every other door is closed.
- Known attackers are blocked before they reach your site.
- Photos you upload are cleaned: hidden location data is removed. Drawings (SVG files) are checked for hidden code before they are published.
Watched around the clock
- Your site is checked every minute. If it answers too slowly or not at all, we’re alerted straight away, and because it runs on two servers at once, it stays online while we fix the cause.
- We don’t only watch your site: the whole platform behind it, from servers to backups, is monitored, and any issue alerts us straight away. We work tirelessly to keep your site available and fast.
Respect for your visitors
- Our visitor statistics use no cookies and don’t follow individual visitors: you see how many people come and what they read, without knowing who they are.
- Booking and payment tools (Pro plan) are separate services, run under their own privacy terms.
